Southern New Hampshire University is a regionally accredited university in the U.S. SNHU is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education, Inc [NECHE] and this regional accreditation encompasses all programs offered by SNHU. This regional accreditation means that SNHU has undergone a rigorous evaluation process to ensure that academic standards and student experience match the high standards awarded by NECHE, which is overseen by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. In the U.S., regional accreditation is generally regarded as the most prestigious kind of accreditation as it is reserved for public or non-profit private institutions that meet high academic standards. SNHU’s business programs are also accredited by the Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), which is a programmatic accreditation reserved for institutions offering high caliber business education.
